On Thursday the 29th of June, Londonist DMC attended the Parliamentary Reception organised every year by BETA UK in the majestic House of Lord as one of the main sponsors of the event.
The British Educational Travel Association (BETA) was established in 2003 as a not for profit membership association and now represents some of the biggest and best-known businesses in the youth, student and educational travel industry.
Since then, they have pro-actively created a platform and network for businesses engaged within the sector, to meet, network and trade. BETA’s role is to represent and co-ordinate the interests of this fast growing and dynamic industry.
BETA’s long-term strategic aims are to highlight the enormous value of youth, student and educational travel to, from and within the UK and to create commercial opportunities between buyers and sellers of youth related products.
The tourism minister Mr Michael Ellis along with other nominated MP’s, peers and influencers also attended the event and gave their very valuable contribution, communicating the importance of our sector at the highest level.
This year Londonist DMC had the honour to become BETA’s “Gold Sponsor” for 2018.
We strongly appreciate what BETA is doing for our industry and in particular for researching markets and trends and keeping the whole industry up-to-date and always close to the young travellers who are coming to the UK to study.
This is a great achievement and we look forward to the next event on BETA UK’s side.
