On Wednesday, 23 July 2025, Londonist DMC proudly took part in Miles That Matter, a powerful 50-mile charity bike ride across London, organised by Greystar in support of KIDS Charity UK.
Our Founder and Managing Director, Asim Erturk, was among 35+ incredible riders who cycled across the city, uniting for one shared mission: to make every mile matter.
The circular route started early in the day and took about 61.8 km, connecting a series of key Greystar residential and student living communities. Riders passed through iconic stops like Chapter Lewisham, Bloom Nine Elms, Canvas Wembley, and Chapter London Bridge, before crossing the finish line at Greystar HQ — where supporters, partners, and colleagues gathered to celebrate.
The event wasn’t just about distance, it was about direction.
A direction toward community, collaboration, and care.
Kids Charity UK, the organisation at the heart of this initiative, has been delivering life-changing services to children and young people with disabilities for over 50 years. Their work empowers families, encourages independence, and provides critical support through early years education, family support, and inclusion services. Greystar’s long-standing partnership with Kids brought this event to life — and it was an honour for Londonist DMC to ride alongside such an inspiring cause.
For us, this ride was more than symbolic.
It reflected the values we carry through everything we do: putting people first, showing up for community, and taking real action to support the next generation.
Asim Erturk, the visionary behind Londonist Global, continues to lead with empathy and purpose.
As the founder and managing director of multiple companies across student living, hospitality, investment, and tech, he somehow still makes time to lead from the front, literally.
From Londonist DMC to Londonist Investments, Londonist Technologies, Londonist Hospitality and beyond, his commitment to creating impact shows in every initiative he supports.
We are deeply proud of our team’s involvement, and especially of Asim’s powerful example of what leadership can look like in action, not just in business meetings, but on the roads of London, cycling for children, families, and hope.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Greystar, especially Maria Hatch and Daniel McCrory, for organising this unforgettable event, and to Kids Charity UK for the work they do every day.
To all those who pedalled, donated, supported, and believed, thank you...
Together, we reminded ourselves what’s possible when business and purpose ride side by side.
Every kilometre counted. Every moment mattered.
